Truth-About-Diet

Easy Veggie Meal Plans

Before i start this chapter Truth-About-Diet , i just

want to make it clear that dieting is a very controversial and

complex subject. I am not a fan of it, for the simple reason

that it doesn't work, it only leads to long term failure.

Some people may agree with what I have to say and some will

disagree, but it's alright. Everyone is entitled to his/her own

opinion. I'm not here to judge anyone on anything, after all

who am i to do that?

There is a lot of misunderstanding out there about this topic,

but the funny thing is that, wherever you go,most people want to

lose weight. The overweight are worried, the super thin are too,

and celebrities being so thin is not helping the case because a

lot of people look up to them. The situation is quite scary

actually... and i wonder what's the problem here?

One thing is for sure though: if you eat too much calories

and do not burn them back through exercising or any other form

of activity, they are then stored in your body as fat.

Causes of Obesity

Custom Search

We all know how obesity is affecting our world, adults are as well

as concerned as children and teenagers.

The causes are numerous and some of them are:

* Genes: researches have shown that obesity can

have genetic origins, it sometimes runs within the family

from generation to generation. But this doesn't mean that the

situation can't be overturned, of course it can but, You'll have

to work harder than somebody who is naturally thin if you want to

maintain a healthy weight.

* Food: eating too much of the things that should

be avoided is also a cause of obesity.

Fast food, soft drink, sugary foods, too much salt, are often high

in calories and should be consumed with moderation.

* Lack of exercise: some people never exercise let

alone know where the gym is. The other Truth-About-Diet

is that a lack of physical activity is no good for

anyone, overweight or thin.

It's good to be active, you don't have to exercise everyday if you

do not want to, but try at least 2-3 times a weeks.

Go for a walk,do something that will keep you in action.

* Stress: some people are so stressed out, that

they eat every few minutes thinking this will help them escape

from the reality. But you know what? this is a very very big

mistake...

I personally fall into this category and i know by experience

that Using food to fight stress or difficulties of life will

only cause you more harm than good. If you fall into this

category as well, please it is time to stop and look for a

different solution to your problem.

There were moments when i ate until i couldn't breathe properly,

then I'd go to bed but guess what? i could not have a proper

sleep either because i was so full. The truth of the matter is

that even when i did sleep, i had to wake up at some point and

as you can guess, the problem was still at the same place, same

position waiting for me to solve it. So i concluded after a

while that, eating wasn't a cure but a dangerous distraction.

Now instead of eating to forget my worries, i much more prefer

to meet friends, have fun, watch a movie, go to clubs or go to

the gym.

This approach is working for me so far and i intend to continue

that way.

Consequences of Obesity

Obesity has to be taken seriously and can have a lot of negative

impact on the body. Some consequences of obesity are:

- Premature death

- Heart failures like stroke

- Diabetes

- Breathing problems

If the situation is not dealed with properly and on time, it is

very likely to develop chronic weight related diseases as you

grow old.

What is the ideal weight?

People often struggle about finding their ideal weight. I don't

personally think that there is an ideal weight.I believe that

my ideal weight is the one that makes me happy, the one I'm

more comfortable with.

You should use your common sense to decide what your ideal

weight is, nobody else should do that but you. People are often

judgmental of others, but at the end of the day you are the one

that carries your body.

The Truth-About-Diet is that, as long as you are

within the healthy weight range and feel confident with your

body, the only thing to do is to exercise and eat healthily to

stay at a steady level.

Check out on my Best-Workout-Routines page to decide which exercise

suits you best and also go to my Nutrition page for more help.

How fast can you lose weight?

Well, this is a simple but at the same time very complex

question, because people lose weight at different speeds.

The rapidity of your weight lost depends on various factors

like: your lifestyle, your level of physical activity,

your genetic background, your health, your nutrition and also

your motivation.

And depending on which category you fall into, only you can

decide which method to adopt, you can also seek advice from

your doctor or from a nutritionist to help you plan this

process. If you lack some motivation, you can turn to a family

member, a friend, or join a group for support.

Note: Do not be in a hurry to lose too much weight too

quick, because:

1)- it is very unhealthy

2)- instead of celebrating your new figure, you could be

heading to the hospital to battle the side effects

The best way to lose weight

I do not believe in weight loss pills, i know someone

close to me who has taken them. She lost some pounds the first

few weeks and once she stopped taking the pills, she gained them

all back in a very short period of time.

Pills simply don't work, they are not reliable in a long term.

My advice to those who want to lose weight will be to exercise

regularly and eat healthily. By doing this, you burn more

calories and store less fat.

To eat healthily simply means to go for low-fat foods, eat

some healthy-snacks , cut back on sugar and sweets, eat more

fruits and vegetables, drink a lot of water to eliminate the

toxins from the body.

Weight loss motivation tips

Losing weight naturally is definitely the ultimate Truth-

About-Diet . It pays off in the long run and is not
